Why Ski with a Guide in Chamonix

Hiring a guide is the best way to discover the mountains and build confidence off piste. A guide knows where to find the best snow and can take you to places you would never reach alone. They also have lift queue priority so you spend more time skiing.

Chamonix is huge and it can be hard to know where to go. With a guide you skip the hassle of piste maps and get straight to the best routes for the day. For off piste and the famous Vallée Blanche a maximum of six people can ski with one guide.

Skiing with a guide also helps improve your level. If you are stuck at intermediate, it’s the quickest way to progress. With guidance, new areas open up and the mountains feel even bigger.

Ski Touring

The Mont Blanc Massif and Chamonix Valley are perfect for ski touring. This means moving across the mountains on skis with free heels for uphill travel. It’s demanding but takes you away from the crowds and into spectacular terrain.

Booking and Fees

Guides can be booked through our office. A full day is around 490€ and a half day about 350€, depending on the route and group size. At busy times booking ahead is recommended.
